Deep couches – When furnishing a room, seating is a primary concern. Your lifestyle and the size of your living room will dictate what type, style and range of sofa you choose. A family that has large gatherings or entertains often needs large and deep couches. Large and deep couches can also double as extra sleeping space for overnight guests. Cutting sofas, sometimes called modular sofas, come with three or more pieces that connect together. The beauty of the cut is that it can be expanded to meet all family seating needs. Sectionals can be custom ordered and available works are a corner section, end section with arm, bench or stool, chaise section, armchair and even armless section.
A typical seat on a sofa is about 25 inches to the backrest. Many contemporary sofas are made extra deep – as deep as 30 to 40 inches. Extra deep sofas, if long enough, can be used as a bed if they have removable backrests. One thing to keep in mind is that short people are often uncomfortable to sit on deep sofas, so be sure to provide extra pillows that can be used for back support.
Home theater couches are sold in sections with each section having a bracket or armrest. The console section between the seats is big enough to hold drinks or a snack for gummed under a movie. Theater sofas come with segments that can be arranged in curves or even rows. You can also buy theater sofas that have reclined sections.
