Cool Decals – Some decals show pride in a product or brand, while others have social messages, or convey some type of fashion, trend or entertainment aspect. Measure the area to be covered. Use a tape measure for graphics for particularly long body panels. You need to know exactly how much surface area you will have available for very long graphics. Determine how you will center the decal and mark the point lightly with a pencil on all sides.
Clean the surface of the body panel or glass with soap and water (or clean glasses). Be sure to extend the cleaning beyond the area that will receive the cool decals. All earth and smog must be removed to allow proper contact with the entire surface. Decal applications can be done indoors or outdoors, but the warmth of the sun will help make the decal more pliable and easier to work with, especially vinyl.
Place the decal on or against the desired area, making sure you have centered it correctly. Use an assistant if the decal is long since it can hold one end while you have the other. Apply tape to the outer edge of the cool decals (on the part other than the graphic), securing it to the edge of the window or body panel. Adhere only the sides and the top leave the lower leg open. Make three separate cuts that will give you three sections.
