Use markers in the tones you want to paint a copy of your image. Make slight changes in the design if the lines are crossing. Make new lines on the paper where you want the lines to be disconnected, to allow the cross stencil to remain in its original form during your project. Glue the image of the paper to your cardboard or cutting board. Use painter’s tape to make it easy to remove.
